Kendal Murray wins the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award
Arthouse Gallery is thrilled to announce that Kendal Murray has won the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award!
Murray was chosen out of a record 353 entries and 46 finalists for her magnificently detailed sculpture Provision, revision, decision, division that features a beautiful assemblage of household objects and personal items transfigured into dreamlike symbols of a bygone era.
Included on the judging panel was Professor of Visual Arts at Deakin University David Cross, writer and curator on Australian sculpture Ken Scarlett OAM, and Manager of Art Collection and Galleries at Deakin Leanne Willis.
Well done Kendal for such an amazing achievement.
