'Suspension' extends Porter's enquiry into humanity's disconnected relationship with the environment & issues of sustainability. These richly detailed landscapes, executed with an almost devout attention to every part of the whole, employ extremes of scale – realism and surrealism, grandeur & detail. Porter will hold a solo exhibition 'Dry Rain' at the Tweed River Regional Gallery in 2009.
